They Are Leaving

Posted by Brenda Hedden on Saturday, March 12, 2016
The puppies are beginning to go to their forever homes.  It is sad to see them go, but I realize they really need the one on one training now and 8 weeks is the easiest transition week for a puppy.  It only becomes more difficult after this week, as they start to become more dominant or submissive with litter mates.

Today, Jack O'Lantern and Sky went to their new owners.  It is going to go fast in the next two weeks, but they are more than ready.  They have been weaned for two weeks now, Moms cannot be with them as they are so big and chew on them.  It is just overwhelming for them with large litters.  We can let a few run around at a time and enjoy our home, and the moms love to play with them in small groups.  The pups are always playing now and some are fiestier than others.  There is no rest for the weary and Snowflake just cannot take it anymore and knows how to get out.  She joins us for most evenings and when I am in the pen, she lays outside waiting for me to come back.  I really enjoy them.  We need all pups picked up by the 26th, so please send me your plans if you have not done so already.

They all weigh between 5 1/2# and 8 1/2 # now and are doing well.  This will be the last weekend of pictures, and I will post on Sunday.  Hope you had a great week and looking forward to your new family member.
