New Pictures Coming

February 27, 2016
I am finally categorizing and will upload last week's bathing pictures. Sorry I am a week behind but I still took the weekly pictures  so you won't miss your little loved ones growth, you just didn't see it in a timely fashion. I will also take more today of their five week old pictures and try to get them uploaded tomorrow.

We had a lot of families visit last week from Sunday through Wednesday, and it was also our Olympic week at school, as our school site is held on an Olympic venue. Was just too busy to spend the 3 1/2 hours or so it takes to  download categorize rename and upload a full set of pictures. Will try to catch up today and tomorrow.

They are now much more vocal. They whine and a few of them will let out their attempt at a bark.   They have figured out how to get out of their pen and will go behind a kitchen counter where we've had to gate it off. They've tipped over a plant, spread dirt all over the floor and have proceeded to eliminate on my tile floor. Just another lovely mess we get to clean up today.   This all happens for reason you know,  just when the three of us are about ready to crack in a couple of weeks, it makes it so much easier to say goodbye at eight weeks.

They still nurse, about twice a day, and their food is still warm goat milk, chicken, brown rice and veggies steamed and mushed up, with a little bit of organic chicken broth.   We will then transition them out of the goat milk when they stop nursing.  I always look forward to that, as the milk makes their stools loose.  It is so much easier to keep their space clean after they're done with milk.

Puppy Therapy

February 26, 2016
Today was a long day at school and I came home and this is the first day the pups whined for me.  It was so sweet.  I changed their bedding and crawled in and immediately, 13 of them were all over me:  Sunny, Daffodil, Red, Blue, Midnight-Navy,  Curacao, Green, Irish, Cotton Candy, Lime, Purple, Licorice. and  Crimson.  It was such a wonderful welcome and I played with them for over a half hour while the others slept.  I love those moments when they can crawl all over me.  They are up and dow...

Update on Pups and Picks

February 25, 2016
Life is busy here and the pups are adjusting so well.  They still sleep a lot but are growing more social daily.  So far the pups that are reserved are:  Pumpkin, Jack O Lantern, Red, Lavender, Purple or Lime, Yellow, Sky, Curacao,  Champagne will not be available if you are just looking, as numerous families only want her, so when she is chosen, I will be giving back numerous deposit refunds........  sorry, brown is adorable too and is our personal favorite.

Pups are now eating a mush blend, ...

Picks

February 23, 2016
Pumpkin and Jack O Lantern have been chosen.  One pick is deciding between Lime and Purple and we are now on pick four and awaiting their decision.  Please get an idea of which pup you desire, so that when your turn arrives, you have an inclination of what you would like and we can continue.   People need to book flights and they cannot unless they know if they are getting the pup they really would like.   If you would let me know, I would appreciate it.  I have many that would still like to ...

And the Picks Begin

February 21, 2016
Thank you all for your patience through this process.   Today, the first, second and third picks will be made for certain.  We are excited to finally let you know what you have been waiting for weeks to determine.

The puppies are now feeding on a diet of goat milk, chicken, fresh veggies and organic brown rice (milk gives them loose stools and the rice has the opposite affect.)  We will wean them in a couple of weeks.  The food is blended and then mixed with the milk.

Today they are being bathe...

Puppy Life

February 18, 2016
The puppies are doing very well.  All are growing.  Sparkle is the smallest and Licorice is the largest of all.  They were drinking next to each other tonight and I couldn't believe the difference.

They are all very social and I love to lean over into their whelping pens and have them come up and chew on my hair and gnaw on my fingers and give me kisses. They all either have bumps on their gums or they have cut their first tooth now.  Moms still nurse every 4-5 hours around the clock. Asia ju...

My First Story

February 14, 2016
The pups are now interacting with each other and life is active and fun here at our home.  Just as they were finishing a feeding, one started to howl. It was Jamaica's Navy. Then his entire litter followed suit in howling and whining and then the next litter began doing it, so they started communicating with each other. It was hilarious for about five minutes and then they calmed down and eventually fell asleep.  It was adorable and I wish I had my camera.

They are getting their first bath to...

Our Crusty Critters

February 13, 2016
Milk baths, woohoo!  Our pups love lapping and bathing at the same time.  I think they feel that if they lean in to the milk dish or bathe, they will somehow get more food.  They all do pretty well at lapping now, but they seem to want to push their paws in to it, as they do when they nurse.  First paws, then bellies and necks and the next thing I know, they are laying in their food.  Maybe this is the stage they need to progress through so they learn to play with each other, as when the food...

Wow, What a World

February 6, 2016
All of their eyes are opened now and they are so beautiful.  They are beginning to focus and will stare at us, as everything is so new to them.  They are on all fours now with their little "sailor legs" and making their way around the whelping box and to mom.  Some are already learning to go to one end of the whelping box to relieve themselves.  It is amazing how smart they are and the potential for learning that they possess.

They still eat and sleep only, but in a few days, will begin to int...

Life Is All About Puppies

January 29, 2016
Our lives are all about puppies right now.  I awaken at 5 AM to feed them with moms and then get ready for work about 6:30 AM when my husband rises.  He stays with them off and on until about noon, when my daughter rises and watches them until 3 PM.  I am home by 5 PM and watch them until bedtime, about 10 PM, when my husband or daughter will take over.  My daughter is a night owl and she stays with them until about 3 AM and I am back up at 5 AM.  And so it goes for the their first three week...
