Our Crusty Critters

Milk baths, woohoo!  Our pups love lapping and bathing at the same time.  I think they feel that if they lean in to the milk dish or bathe, they will somehow get more food.  They all do pretty well at lapping now, but they seem to want to push their paws in to it, as they do when they nurse.  First paws, then bellies and necks and the next thing I know, they are laying in their food.  Maybe this is the stage they need to progress through so they learn to play with each other, as when the food is gone, they are licking and nibbling on one another.  Hence my requirement of a days notice if you want to see pups.  Baths are not easy for so many little ones, as they need to be dried also.

Life is blissful in our home.  The puppies are learning new skills each day now.  Most are great at moving to one location to eliminate.  Most are good at learning how to get food in another way and all are still nursing and will be for 2-3 more weeks.  Moms are very patient as teeth have not yet been cut.  They tolerate the claws pushing against them as pups nurse, but when teeth come in, moms want out.

Picks will begin in the next week and I will mark chosen pups as "Reserved".  Pictures will be posted today, as Saturdays give me time for the tedious process of downloading, organizing in to each puppies folder, resizing, renaming and then uploading on to my website.  Thank you for your patience, as I can only do this weekly.
