Eyes Wide Open

Posted by Brenda Hedden on Saturday, August 6, 2016
The pups eyes are now wide open.  Some still have a slight foggy look as they start to interpret what everything they have been smelling for two weeks, looks like.  They just stare at me after a feeding.  I think they are too full to move much, so they just lay in my hand and look me in the eyes.  I often wonder what they are thinking and wish they could understand me, so they know how much they are loved.

They still "swim" around the  whelping area and can move quite effectively.  Some are now trying out their new legs and that is always a fun time.   They will remain in the den for two more weeks, then we will create a run and a sleeping area in our main floor living space.  Oh what fun they are.
