High Altitude, High Quality

.....and then there were two

March 26, 2016
Nearly all of our puppies are now in their forever homes. It's so sad to see them go but I'm excited for the next chapter of their lives.  There is so much more that you can do for them now, than what I was able to do for entire litters of puppies. They were well loved here, and as many of you told me, very well fed. I believe they all came with great socialization skills, an enduring playfulness, and an intelligence that you will find surprising.  They should be very easy to housebreak if you were disciplined and stick to a routine for a few days. They're very smart, inquisitive dogs, and as you all know now, Velcro dogs that love to be right next to you. Crate training is great for some dogs and these dogs like the doors off the crates as they just want to follow you around the house.

I hope they are all adjusting very well. Sparkle and cotton candy are the best of friends. They have their entire home to themselves now, and we leave the front door open and they run around our house chasing one another, and then just crash.  I find them sleeping on the steps, under a couch, or in the open crates back in their pen.   Their energy levels are identical, I'll find one chasing another, and five minutes later, the opposites are chasing one another. They roll and tumble, play and sleep on top of each other, trying to create the puppy pile that they once knew that was so warm and comforting for them.   Sparkle crawls right up between my legs and falls asleep daily,  and when not running around the house, she loves to crawl up my legs, be held and lay her chin over my forearm and  Watch what's going on with the other dogs. I think  this is her quiet spot.  Cotton candy just loves to play on her back, chewing on my sweatshirt hoodie strings while I rub her belly.  I think they really miss all of the action that they have grown up with so far.

Five Have Found Their Forever Homes

March 16, 2016
Puppies are leaving at a rate of one per day.  Jack O'Lantern and Sky left Friday, Purple left Sunday, Monday we said goodbye to Daffodil, today Pumpkin flew to his forever home, tomorrow Red is leaving, Thursday Blue is leaving and one a day after until Monday, when three are leaving.  One would never think that 17 pups in a pen seems empty, but I can feel the loss.  It is so nice to know they will have the one on one attention and training that they deserve, which I cannot provide.

We still ...

A Lazy Saturday

March 13, 2016
Today was our last quiet day for two weeks.  We decided the pups needed more space and kennel experience, so we enlarged their area and gave them three open kennels they can lay in.  They like the extra space.  A family sent me a picture of a play structure for their pup and we loved it, so off to Home Depot we went this morning.  We spent an hour making them an adventure box, mostly out of recycled materials and they love it.  Wish we would have seen this year ago.  We saw as many as 9 at on...

They Are Leaving

March 12, 2016
The puppies are beginning to go to their forever homes.  It is sad to see them go, but I realize they really need the one on one training now and 8 weeks is the easiest transition week for a puppy.  It only becomes more difficult after this week, as they start to become more dominant or submissive with litter mates.

Today, Jack O'Lantern and Sky went to their new owners.  It is going to go fast in the next two weeks, but they are more than ready.  They have been weaned for two weeks now, Mom...

First Vet Visit

March 11, 2016
We took 12 to the veterinarian yesterday.  We decided to wait on the late pickups, as the flight certificates are only good for 10 days after a vet visit, and then it is back to the vet for another checkup before flight, sooo.... we took the first 12 that are leaving in the next 9 days.  They all had great check ups, all but one was quiet for the doctor.  Most were real champs, a couple of them were nervous and all went well.

On the way back, one threw up on another one, but no clues were rema...

Thank You

March 8, 2016
Thank you for all of the pick up information.  I am slowly getting around to responding, as you successfully inundated me with texts and emails.  I appreciate the information and it will take me a day or so to respond to it all.

Tonight was a fun night with the pups.  Here are a few stories:  Snowflake is my little Houdini.  She escapes from the pen a dozen or more times a day.  She loves playing with the older dogs and today, when I arrived home, she was sleeping on a pair of Uggs that I had ...

Please Send Pick Up Information

March 7, 2016
Even if you have already, please resend pick up information.  I discarded all of my text messages in an effort to make room in my phone to send you videos.  I have information on about 30% of the pickups at this time.  Thank you.

Pictures Are Up

March 6, 2016
New pictures are up.  This was an 8  hour process today.  I miss playing with them when I am downloading, resizing, renaming and uploading pictures all day.  Yesterday was a house cleaning day and showing pups to a family, so it has been all about puppies again this weekend.  They are fun and I will miss them when they are gone.

They love to play and don't realize that if they are awake and another is asleep, that the puppy who is sleeping, might not want to play.  Everything is free game for ...

Seven weeks

March 6, 2016
Time has flown by.  I can hardly believe my little bundles of joy are 7 weeks old.  They now play more than they sleep, but they sleep all night. When I awaken at 6 am they are generally playing with each other.  No barks, no whines, they play quietly until we come downstairs whether it is 6am or 8 am.   I generally feed them and most pups in the past bark and whine so loud that it awakens everyone.  23 puppies and they all just watch me while I prepare their meal with just a few whines.  Blu...

Another Day in Paradise

February 28, 2016
Another wonderful day with our puppies.   It seems that everything else in my life comes to a halt when I have puppies at home.  Laundry doesn't get done, dishes are a struggle, meals really get prepared anymore other than a puppy meals and my husband and I sort of live in a tired daze.  They are growing and playing so much now.

All of them have similar personalities.  They all come to me and chew on me when I sit down.   Some of the videos I've been sending you, as you make your choices, migh...
